The Midshires Way is on our doorstep offering walking and cycling around our beautiful countryside and surrounding villages.   For steam enthusiasts, the Great Central Railway in Loughborough offers a great day out and has many themed events throughout the year.  The Steam Trains may be seen passing through the East Leake station just outside the village.  In the East Midlands we have many beautiful stately homes that are well worth a visit such as Belvoir Castle,  Burghley House, Calke Abbey, Chatsworth House,  Grimsthorpe Castle, Park & Gardens and Haddon Hall to mention but a few.   

There are also several historical places of interest including The Richard III Museum in Leicester, The Tales of Robin Hood in Nottingham, The Castle in Newark, The Cathedral in Lincoln, the National Space Cente in Leicester, Taylors Bell Foundtry tours in Loughborough.  Spectacular walking, horse riding and cycling can be enjoyed in the Derbyshire Dales.

For theatre goers and muscial lovers, there is a wide range of theatres and concert venues in Nottingham, Leicester and Derby offering excellent entertainment and a great night out!  For all sports fans, we are lucky to have rugby at the Leicester Tigers' ground, football at Leicester, Derby and Nottingham, motorsports at Donington Park, cricket at Trent Bridge, horse racing at Nottingham and Leicester and various events at the Nottingham ice rink.
